Ever
lost out because you changed
your phone number
or your e-mail address?
Ever been frustrated because you
can’t
get in touch?
These
days most of us have a trail of
unused and out of date contact
details – we lost a mobile
and ended up with a brand new number
to go with our brand new handset,
we stopped using an old e-mail account,
we moved and got a new landline number
and we’ve certainly all lost
touch with colleagues and friends
and relatives sometimes…
Past
Information Company co-founder
and director Kate White believes
she has the solution to this problem.
There is now a great new service
that lets you register all your old
and existing e-mail addresses and
phone numbers so that people can
search for you using the details
they have, and if you need to find
someone, you can search for their
current contact details Free-of-Charge!
Privacy
and safety are guaranteed with
a smart contact system, so don’t
worry about dodgy characters from
your past coming back to haunt you
or concerns about being traced by
the thief if your mobile was stolen,
for example. A message is sent out,
either by text or e-mail to the person
who is being contacted, and they
can choose whether or not to follow
it up. You can also operate a ‘black-list’ to
automatically exclude unwanted messages.
PIC is launching two websites, initially
in the UK, called www.pastmail.com for your old e-mail addresses and
www.pastnumber.com for
your old phone numbers. Packages
start from just £3.50
per year and it takes just 5 minutes
to set up. You can store up to 15
numbers or e-mail addresses and then
you get a weekly report on anyone
who has tried to contact you.
Don’t
forget you can visit the site and
search for old pals
and contacts for FREE!
