What Do You Think Of Internet Privacy Issues?
There is so much personal information available on the web but how much of it is controlled?
In the UK being ex-directory use to mean something. You could rest easy knowing that the contents of your name, address and phone number would not be available to all and sundry. That is now no longer the case. Put simply we can log onto google and using search strings bring up a host of websites sited in USA and Australia that can match a name with a location to provide a contact address and landline number.
Its really annoying when you think about it because it means someone, somewhere has sold your details. Often this permission is given by failure to tick a box which is in very small type.
What do you think about it. Is it right that the whole world has access to this data or do you see it as an invasion of privacy? Let us know.
